WordPress Gutenberg 16.3 released on 26 July, 2023. This release mainly focuses on maintenance, meaning – a lot of bugs were squished and fixed. There are also few enhancements focusing on the Patterns page in WordPress. Let’s explore them in detail.
Gutenberg 16.3 Brings Focus Mode for Patterns in WordPress
This release brings ‘Focus Mode’ editing for patterns. This enables the users to focus mainly on editing the patterns without any distractions.Â
Sticky Header Bar for Patterns Page in Gutenberg 16.3
The header containing the search box in Patterns page scrolled out of view when a user scrolled down the page. This was not the same with other pages such as Templates. To bring a uniform user experience across all the pages, this version introduces a sticky Header Bar for Patterns Page.
Customize Patterns
A new drop down menu has been added to Patterns. This menu contains options that allows users to rename, duplicate, or even delete patterns easily. Making the user-experience more intuitive and friendly!
